Inspiration:
I designed this hoop for a Christmas Stitch Along I ran in my Facebook group in October and November. It started out completely different to the finished piece you see today. For starters, it was originally a pastel colour palette. But, after asking the lovely members in my Facebook group their favourite Christmas colours, traditional colour palettes won by miles… which I was very happy about because I adore a good, traditional coloured Christmas.
My sister, Leah helped bounce ideas around with me on this one (as she does on many of my designs – I should probably start paying her!) and together we went through many versions. Some older ones included a wreath instead of holly, and all 8 reindeer instead of gingerbread men. We love this finished one though and we are both hanging these up next to our trees this year.
