How to backstitch a star

You may have already noticed this but I love using little stars in my designs. Stars are so beautiful and there is something magical about looking up at a star filled sky. Of course they have to be stitched in sparkly, light effects DMC thread. I coat this thread in conditioner before putting it in your kit which should make it slide through your aida easier (and quieter) than it does without it. There may be a little bit still on your strands but you can simply rub this off/in. To read a little more on using light effects and some hints and tips to help you click here. This video will show you how to stitch the star using a backstitch. The important thing when doing them is to work from the edge the star into the middle.
