The Cross Stitch Club
I am not sure if I have ever done a podcast episode on the club, but we are coming up to 4 years of its creation, and I can’t believe it’s still going. One of my biggest worries with setting up a monthly membership was that I would run out of ideas for it. But so far, so good.
The club has shifted a little, but the original foundations are still there, so I thought today I would share a little bit about how it works and what we have coming up the rest of the year and into 2027.
How it works
You can either join monthly or pay for 3 months at a time to save some money. I have changed the price a little over the years because the more I add, the more you get out of it, and I will probably raise the price again this year. But the price you join with, as long as you stay inside, is the price you will always pay. When I raise the price, it is for new members only.
I host this membership on Teachable, which is the same place where I run all my SALs. They actually have a membership model in the backend now, but they created this after I started the club, so for now, the layout inside is very similar to how my SALs look. So if you have been in a SAL of mine in the past, you will know how to find your way around. And even if you haven’t, it’s very simple to use.
At the end of every year, I move all the content from your homepage, but you can still access it if you want. This membership is very “live”; it’s not a step-by-step or something you have to follow in order. You can jump in any time. Honestly, there are 4 years’ worth of videos, tutorials and patterns, so I never expect someone new to consume all of that. But if you wanted to make a cross-stitch coaster, you could go find a tutorial for that, etc.
Monthly themes
Every month, there is either a tutorial, a theme or a retreat day. Tutorials can be anything from making a cross stitch cushion (that was June’s), to organising your floss digitally (one from 2025). Some months, instead of a tutorial, we have a focus. This is usually for finishing projects, organising projects, or finding time. And every few months, we have a retreat day. Sometimes these are just for stitching whatever you want all day. Sometimes I run a mini SAL and release it over the day for us to stitch together. And other times it’s more of a craft day, and we will do other things, such as making wax melts or felt flowers. These are great to look back on when you join the club.
SALs
If you are a member of the club, you get access to all the SALs I am currently running. Some SALs are just for the club, and there are a lot inside already, with more to come this year. Sometimes I will do either a monthly pattern or a series of patterns. In the past, we have had affirmation card patterns, which are some of my favourites, a bubble tea series of patterns and star signs. If there is no series going on, I will do a quick stitch pattern instead and again, there are loads of these already inside.
Online meet-ups
And the best part – online meet-ups! These happen weekly for most of the month, but at the end of the month, we meet every Monday-Friday. The only time these daily calls don’t happen is if I am on holiday, etc. (so usually in August). I try to change the time each week so you can join wherever in the world you are, but they are usually on Wednesdays or Fridays, but this sometimes changes too. You get the schedule at the start of each month. We have people from Australia and all over the states join the calls, so there is usually a time you can join, but of course, if you are in the U.K., you will probably be able to join more. I love our meet-ups; we talk about everything from cross-stitch to books to general life updates.
So that is the basic structure of the club and what you get if you join. But here is what is coming up the rest of this year to give you more of an idea of what to expect.

2026 in the club
Throwbacks
Something new I have been trying for 2026 is posting little throwback patterns and tutorials each month to something else in the club. In June, it was a quick stitch ice cream van pattern and an embroidery bouquet tutorial. This helps you get the most out of the club and maybe show you something you didn’t know was in there already. I even give you the link so you can click right to the place where it is, so you don’t have to go searching.
SALs
Right now, we have Pocket Worlds, which is a 3-part, 18-month-long SAL. We are only up to month 2, so this is a great time to join. It’s one of my favourite patterns so far this year. This one is exclusive to the club.
We have also just started the Summer of Stitches SAL, which you get for free if you are a member of the club. This is a fortnightly SAL, and we are making a wreath at the end. If you don’t want to join the club, you can still join this SAL. We are only up to part 2.
At the start of the year, we had a Winter Walks SAL and a mini Spring SAL, so you will see those on your homepage when you join.
Coming up for the rest of the year, we will, of course, have a Christmas SAL and probably some sort of mini Autumn/Halloween something. One of the fun things about being in the club is that you can help me come up with ideas for SALs. I already have drawn out a new year-long SAL to start in early 2027, too, but that one is a secret right now.
Series
For 2026, the series is not individual patterns as they have been in the past. This year, I give you a new part of a gingerbread house to stitch, ready to make a 3D one at the end of the year.
Tutorials
There have been 3 tutorials already in the club: a framing tutorial, a personalisation tutorial and a cushion making tutorial. Coming up for the rest of the year, we have a wreath tutorial, the 3D house tutorial and an embellishment tutorial.
Retreat days
We had a retreat day in March, which was a mix of stitching, and I did a cross stitch needle minder tutorial. Plus, we had a game of Bingo at the end.
We have 2 more retreat days coming up in 2026; one in July and one in December. July will probably be a bring-your-own project, as we have a few SALs on the go right now. But December will be themed with games, a quiz and some different crafts mixed in. Sometimes I do the retreat days all in 1 day, and other times I split them into 2 days to try and make sure lots of you can join. They are usually on Friday/Saturday near the end of the month.
That’s the club! I pour a lot of my energy now into patterns/SALs/tutorials for the club, and I love it. The people that have gathered there are amazing, and we have got to watch babies grow, people move, and millions of stitches stitched.
