The design used in my Christmas Stitch Along, this Deck The Halls Cross Stitch Kit is sure to be a family favourite.
Stitching this hoop over Christmas is a great way to relax at the end of a busy day; whether you have been doing the last minute Christmas shopping or helping out with the school nativity, sitting down at the end of the day with a warm drink and your cross stitch kit will help you wind down and bring joy to your evenings. I have a blog post telling you all about the benefits cross stitch can bring if you would like to read it.
With reindeers and gingerbread men, the finished hoop will look right at home amongst your other traditional decorations this Christmas. And the durable and colourfast DMC threads will ensure that this decoration will become part of your family traditions; it will be something you can hang up in your home year after year*.
If you are new to cross stitch and not sure if you will be able to stitch this, I have lots of detailed videos on my blog as well as the instructions you will get in your kit. And you can always ask me if you are stuck on any part of your kit or join my Facebook group for advice.
What your kit will contain:
Once your box arrives, you will find it packed full of the materials you need to make your own Deck The Halls hoop.
- A 7 inch, Elbesee hoop
- A needle and threader
- White, 16 count, Zweigart aida
- DMC threads
- A counted cross stitch pattern
It includes Light Effects thread (the metallic, sparkly one) which can be quite tricky to get the hang of stitching with if you are a complete beginner to cross stitch. But don't worry! I include cotton thread as well so you can choose which you would prefer to stitch with. And I have a podcast episode and blog post with some hints and tips about stitching with it.
If you would like scissors, a needle minder or drawstring bag with your kit you can visit my supplies section. The bags are a bit of a prettier way to transport your kit and needle minders keep your needles safe in between stitches!

I designed this hoop for a Christmas Stitch Along I ran in my Facebook group in October and November. It started out completely different to the finished piece you see today. For starters, it was originally a pastel colour palette. But, after asking the lovely members in my Facebook group their favourite Christmas colours, traditional colour palettes won by miles... which I was very happy about because I adore a good, traditional coloured Christmas.
My sister, Leah helped bounce ideas around with me on this one (as she does on many of my designs, I should probably start paying her!) and together we went through many versions. Some older ones included a wreath instead of holly, and all 8 reindeer instead of gingerbread men. We love this finished one though and we are both hanging these up next to our trees this year.
Orders are usually posted in 2-5 working days and I ship worldwide!
