How to start cross stitch – an alternative “loop” method

In this video, I show you how to start your cross stitch project using the “loop” method (that you might have heard as the “knot-less” method).

If you are new to cross stitch you might also be interested in my brand new How to Cross Stitch Course for Beginners that is launching 29.04.2019. You can read more about the course and the early bird special pricing here.

I thought it was about time I did some video instructions; it has been on my to-do list for about 18 months. I’ve never done anything like this before and basically winged the whole thing but I hope you all find them useful.

Each video will be a separate post to make it easier to find the one you need. To find the full collection of how-to videos click here.

This method is probably the easiest but is not the one I teach anymore (those of you who have a kit older than July 2017 will have been taught this way and that’s fine).

The reason I have changed is that I have started using colour variations thread and you have to secure your thread a different way when using it. I thought it would be less confusing to teach the same way for all kits, rather than changing just for the ones with colour variations thread in.

This video shows how to thread your needle and secure your thread in an easy and neat way.
