FAQs About The Christmas Stitch Along 2017

Our Christmas Stitch Along is just around the corner and I am so excited!! I have been asked a few questions about the stitch along over the last couple of weeks so thought it would be a good idea to have them all in one place in case there is something you have been wondering about but haven’t had the chance to ask.

Do I have to stitch the Deck The Halls pattern for the stitch along?

Absolutely not. Although it would be lovely if we were all stitching the same thing, it is definitely not necessary. If you have another Christmas pattern you want to stitch then still join in and show us your progress. I know some of you have my Elf kit and that would work fabulously with this stitch along. Or maybe you have another kit that you have been meaning to stitch for ages – this could be the motivation you need to get it done.

Do I have to buy the Deck The Halls kit to join in?

Again, no. You should already have the pattern (worth £5.40) so if you just want to buy the extra supplies you will need yourself that is totally fine! I will be putting some packs together myself if this is something you want to do, so keep an eye out in my Facebook group. The benefit to getting the kit is that the pattern is printed for you, your thread is cut and conditioned where needed, your aida is cut to size and you get a set of instructions (although I have them on here too).

Do I have to buy the Deck The Halls kit when it launches on the 1st September?

This is just the date it launches, but you can buy it when ever you like! A few things to consider though – if you are joining in the stitch along and are in my Facebook group then you can get 30% off the kit between the 1st – 30th September, giving you lots of time to purchase before the stitch along starts.

Do I have to join the Facebook group to join in the stitch along?

This is where I will be running it and sharing all the prompts and extras that I have planned. However, I know that not everyone likes joining Facebook groups so there are a couple of other ways you can join in – you can join the event and we will have our own hashtag #HHMstitchalong so you can share your progress on social media and I can see and comment on it.

Do I have to start the stitch along on the 1st October?

No, this is just when I will be starting the prompts in the Facebook group, you can start when ever you like. Again, it would be nice if we all start together, but it isn’t necessary. You can dip in and out when ever you like.

How much will the Deck The Halls Kit cost?

If you are joining in the stitch along and are part of my Facebook group the price will be £14 just for you. When the stitch along starts and I put it up for general sale it will cost £20.

Can I buy the Deck The Halls kit if I’m not taking part in the stitch along?

If you are part of my Facebook group the kit will be available to everyone in there from the 1st September regardless of whether you are taking part in the stitch along. It will be up for sale via my website and other storefronts around the middle – end of October.
